About Marrakech

Marrakech is a beautiful, easy-to-love, Moroccan city which is host to a population that is estimated by many at around 2 million persons. The city, an alternate spelling of which is 'Marrakesh', is a hugely entertaining place to visit or live in and has for a long time been the home city of many expatriate Europeans, including large communities of French, German, English, Italian, and Swiss immigrants. A view of the city centre area at midday follows:

Like many cities located on the African continent, Marrakech is split into two different areas, an old city centre and then new one. There are myriad different activities that one can take part in within the city, including museums, an interesting nightlife, public parks and gardens, and trips to ancient sites.

Riads are historic Moroccan homes set around a courtyard with traditional feaures, and there are plenty of them available in Marrakech as renovation projects. Watch www.moroccoproperty1.com site as we will soon be selling riads, and other traditional homes.
The most expensive part of Marrakech is the Palmeraie where many of the villas are owned by French nationals and can sell for anything between €1.5 million and €3 million.

All in all Marrakech is, much like Tangier, a remarkable market for property investment. The reasons why, while discussed briefly in the above sections, will now be elaborated on in the final two sections.
